Graffiti Markup Language (.gml) is a universal, XML based, open file format designed to store graffiti motion data (x and y coordinates and time). It is intended to be a simple bridge between ink and code, promoting collaborations between graffiti writers and hackers.

During this workshop, we’ll use various graffiti recording tools (be it a webcam with LED tracking or touchscreen devices sending drawing information using the OSC protocol) and go through all the basics of the GML4U library for Processing, meaning recording, saving and reloading GML files to replay and animate them.

Then we’ll focus on creating custom styles in Processing to render previously recorded graffitis.

Led by Jerome Saint-Clair aka 01010101 [FR].
