Glitch Art Workshop #2 Stitch’n’Glitch: Andrew Healy [IE]

When: Wednesday 13th of March, from 2 to 4.30pm
Where: Hosted by Recyclism Hacklab
How: Required Materials: Please bring your own laptop

The workshop will be based around the open-source software Stitch’n’Glitch (available as an executable for Windows, Linux and Mac). The application turns images into glitches and forms a pdf chart suitable for cross-stitching. It explores the aesthetic possibilites of combining the random ‘glitch’ technique with the precise and laborious practice of cross stitch.

There will be a demonstration of how to use the software before the simple cross stitch technique is taught. All materials and patterns will be provided. No previous knowledge of stitching is required. Laptops are not necessary although participants are invited to download the app ahead of time if they would like to ask any particular questions.

Led by Andrew Healy [IE].
