CTVR is a national telecommunications research centre. We carry out industry-informed research in wireless and optical networking. We have particular expertise in the kinds of technologies that will make networks flexible and evolvable and able to withstand change. CTVR is headquarted in Trinity College Dublin (TCD). DATA (Dublin Art and Technology Association)

The Dublin Art and Technology Association (DATA) was formed in March 2002 with the intention of promoting, exploring, discussing, and exhibiting art and technology in Ireland and the world. Based in Dublin, DATA is built on the idea that collaboration between artists, musicians, technologists, and academia is the key element in creating a rich cultural environment for the dialogue and conception of technological art practices.

Artlabo

Artlabo is a shared platform and open resources for the creation and digital culture. It is run by organisations and individuals involved in the transmission, the sharing of knowledge and know-how, awareness of artistic practices within digital culture. Darklight Festival

Darklight is, Ireland’s premier festival celebrating independent, DIY and artist films. Each annual Darklight festival promises to be an exciting weekend of film, animation, art, music and workshops. It began in 1999, as an opportunity for artists and filmmakers to share their work and experiment with new technologies and has emerged as one of the most important art events of the year. Darklight’s mission is to nurture new talent and to create new possibilities for the imagination.

TWEAK Festival

Tweak is an interactive art festival aiming to promote the understanding of the use of technology in our lives. TWEAK showcases a range of experimental objects from international artists. These works not only provide a platform for collective exchange between viewer and the artwork but also call for invention, which connects with real complicated pleasures of the human senses and the curious mind. These objects are the products of non-linear thinking where technologically enhanced artifacts trigger a play with senses.

Embed Computing

Embed designs custom electronics: hardware, embedded software and designs with FPGA. Customers approach Embed when they need the right embedded electronics and standard solutions do not suffice. In an innovative, creative and flexible way Embed finds a turn-key solution. Our central focuses are meeting the wishes of the customer and designing high quality electronics. The projects Embed executes are very diverse; from sensors for navigation to high tech medical equipment and embedded industrial electronics.

ProtoNoir is an online shop dedicated to showcase and sell artists and designers work we like. Kinda like the the shop outside a gallery or museum but cheaper.
ProtoNoir curates carefully the projects and artists featured on the website. ProtoNoir tries to give a fair deal to the people who loves and buy art and a fair deal to the artists. We don’t do evil and want to keep it that way.
